I am a stay-at-home father by day and make Ride-Share dreams come true by night. Over the past 3 years I have given over 4,000 rides with Uber alone. Because of that, I qualify for free tuition through the Uber and ASU Education Partnership. Uber pays 100% of my tuition, regardless of grade, but I refuse to squander an opportunity. I’m here to put in the necessary work and I am currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA average. By dedicating weekday nights to school, my weekend days for family and weekend nights for Uber, this allows a great work/life/family balance that has given me adept skill at time management.
Throughout my career opportunities I have been able to gain experience in a variety of areas, utilizing different skills; from law enforcement capacities to different positions and responsibilities in sales organizations, I have been able to develop and bolster my skills in interpersonal communication. I also have gained experience in the classroom setting. I worked in a special education capacity in East Lyme, CT as a Teacher’s assistant and Para-professional as a one-to-one aide to children with behavioral problems. It was the most fulfilling job I have had to date and I look forward to getting back to it after finishing my Educational Studies degree at Arizona State University.
