Toy Safety For Toddlers

With most toys for toddlers come safety issues; supervision is the biggest precaution that can be taken with most toys. Whether it be a choking hazard, a suffocation hazard or falling hazard, each toy recommended is from a list of age appropriate selections for ages 12 to 36 months (toddlers). For children 1 year to 18 months: Stacking toys, balls, large blocks, pounding toys, push-pull toys, books, simple puzzles, simple stories or music are recommended. For Children 18 to 36 months: Large blocks, crayons, puzzles, trucks, dolls, dramatic play toys, musical instruments, outdoor climbing equipment, sandboxes, sand toys and water toys are recommended. Recalled Toys as of 10/20/2019 (For Toddlers)

Name of product: Ubbi Connecting Bath Toys
Hazard: The recalled toys can break and create a sharp point, posing laceration and choking hazards to young children.
Remedy: Refund/Replace

Sold At:buy buy BABY, Nordstrom, Bump Box and other specialty stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and ubbiworld.com from January 2019 through August 2019 for about $8 for Ubbi Connecting Bath Toys and $40 for the Ubbi Bath Toy Gift Set.
Upon further research at Target department stores no similar products could be found on the shelves, and no similar bath toys could be found that would present a sharp point if broken or files down, all shower/bath toys seemed to be made of a same material.

Name of product: The Beaufort Bonnet Company Handmade Knit Dolls
Hazard: A sewing needle was discovered in the stuffing of one of the handmade knit dolls, posing a puncture injury hazard.
Remedy: Refund
Recall date: September 3, 2019
Sold At: Specialty stores nationwide and online at www.thebeaufortbonnetcompany.com from September 2016 through August 2019 for about $40 to $65
Upon further research at Target department stores there were no similar products that could be found on the shelve. The handmade aspect of these toys probably rules it out for big box stores like Target but i looked for similar dolls that may have needles hidden in them from hand sewing any parts and there didn't appear to be any that weren't machine made.
