Over the course of the semester, I created a resource guide through the completion of the self-check activities for almost every lesson.

Use this guide how it was intended, as a document to help families find information on resources available to them, and ways to make better informed decisions on the health, safety, and nutritional choices for themselves and their children. Use this site as an outline to make your own resources guide for your area, and share it on message boards or facebook groups in your area.
Navigation of Self-Check Resource Guide sections: Toy Safety, Water Safety, Healthy Snacks, Free Childhood Immunizations, Agencies for families with children with disabilities, and reporting Child Abuse. Each section can easily be replicated for parents that wish to create their own resource guide and use it in their own successful parenting adventures!
In addition healthy eating, playgrounds safety and autism spectrum disorder were discussed during the formulation of this guide and have sections included to ideas for parents to make their own resource guides.
My guide is filled with valuable information and insight for myself through the eyes of an early childhood education professional dealing with toddlers (ages 12 to 36 months) but is a general outline of concepts that can be researched for any age group.
I created a web site that could be shared with others and tailored all the family resources in my guide around the community my family and I call home, Las Vegas, NV.
All pages have APA citations of sources or web sites used to gather this information and a reference section at the bottom of every relevant page so the sources can be accessed for greater knowledge or research on any of the information cited.
I want to thank the faculty and staff at Arizona State University for giving me the opportunity to learn and have fun throughout the duration of this class and use most of what I learned in my day-to-day capacity as a stay at home dad. My children appreciate YOU!
